Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy, also called Ulthera, is a treatment that uses ultrasound technology to tighten and firm your skin. It can treat any areas of “loose” or “sagging” skin, including Face, neck, and decolletage. It’s a good option for men and women with collagen loss around their jaw.
At Lotus Laser & Spa, we’re your trusted source for cutting-edge Ultherapy Skin Tightening treatments. Our well-trained skilled specialist is well-versed in the art and science of this amazing treatment. Ultherapy is a revolutionary, FDA-approved procedure that utilizes ultrasound technology to lift and tighten sagging skin naturally. We understand that each patient is unique, so our experts tailor each treatment to your specific needs and goals.

How Does Ulthera Work?

Using ultrasound, Ulthera delivers a powerful blast of energy causing Thermal Coagulation Points (TCPs), which ultimately tighten and tone the skin and promote a boost of collagen. Ulthera targets problem areas and provides natural results. The unique benefits of Ultherapy are it views and targets the exact areas of aging, no other skin tightening device allows this precise, focused treatment. It ultimately provides a natural looking lift.
During the procedure, your provider will use Ulthera ultrasound imaging to view deep within the skin to determine the best depths to administer treatment. She will scan treatment areas to then direct ultrasound waves in three different penetration depths to target fine lines, wrinkles and to target skin lifting. Ulthera gently heats the tissue to lift and tighten loose skin without disrupting the surface of the skin. At Lotus Laser & Spa, your provider will work to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

Who is a great candidate for Ultherapy?

Ulthera is recommended for areas where the skin is starting to show some degree of laxity or “looseness”. Ulthera is also recommended for areas where collagen has broken down. Loose skin under the chin or neck, droopy eyelids and a loose jawline signal a potential great candidate for treatment. Under eye bags are also a great treatment area. While Ulthera is NOT a replacement for a surgical facelift or skin reduction, it can help those with the early signs of aging, as well, those who want a natural looking lift. It is also ideal for those looking to prolong the effects of a surgical facelift. If you are NOT ready for surgery (mentally, physically or financially) then Ulthera may be for you!

When will you start seeing the results?

The visible effects of Ulthera develop within 3-6 months post treatment.

Is there any downtime with Ultherapy?

No, there is no downtime with Ulthera. When your treatment has finished, you are able to return to normal activities immediately after. There is no recovery time and no scaring. You are not required to stay out of the sun, and there is no post treatment care you will need to conduct. In some rare cases bruising may occur, which can be covered with makeup.

Does Ultherapy hurt?

Comfort levels during the procedure vary from person to person. Typically, clients will take Ibuprofen 45 minutes prior to treatment and use local numbing cream. Any mild discomfort or sensation that is experienced is only while the energy is being delivered.

How does it compare to other laser tightening devices?

Ulthera is a lot more powerful than treatments like Thermage, Pelleve or other similar treatments because it targets depths not reached with other devices, which ultimately target dramatic skin lifting. Ulthera is the only treatment that can actually “see” and target the specific area of concern.

Who should not receive Ultherapy?

Those who have: any area of cystic acne breakouts, open wounds near treatment area, anyone looking to treat an area treated with injectable fillers within the last 3 months or has had Botox in areas of desired treatment within the last 2 weeks, and anyone looking to treat over an active implant such as a pacemaker.
